Digital fabrication is explored as an operative mechanism through which specific design challenges can be thought, where the particular set of constraints offered by each machine are used as opportunities for clarifying those challenges and as channels toward a higher resolution. A new typology of emergency architecture is proposed - origamic techniques are utilised in the design of a flexible device which unfolds, twists, and locks into place, constructed on the ground in a short time.
