The project seeks to uncover operative hybrid typologies for the contemporary periphery. Historically one of the problems of the periphery has been the particularization of its constitutive typological structures according to restrictive zoning regulations, in contrast with the center which has a more varied mixture of scales and programs. The project establishes conditions of centrality on the periphery; 3 Hybrid Typologies are proposed integrating productive and residential programs. The productive component is deprogrammed, allowing for a variety of activities to take hold according to the inclinations of residents and future users. This flexible substrate anticipates changes in use as the site matures.
