The interior is conceived as a mise en scene. Located on Spring St between Lafayette and Mott the shallow space is wrapped in naturally weathered antique pine boards, salvaged from the exterior of grain silos upstate. The boards are CNC milled to reveal a reclining figure in a field of poppies; a backdrop to the crepe making theatre of the open kitchen. Slabs of an antique bowling alley lane are used for the counter and a bench with its salvaged chair backs and ghosted legs. Parisian metro tiles are used throughout.
